Background

Gantri partnered with Smart Design to create the Aim Collection, a line of 3D printed lights that adapt to the task at hand. I led the engineering development of the Clamp Light and supported updates for the Floor and Table Lights.

I collaborated closely with the industrial design team to consider scale when integrating the clamping hardware, bulb, cable routing, and hinge dampers. I also created high fidelity prototypes from FDM and bent sheet metal parts to test user interaction.

When creating the final production CAD, I worked with Gantri’s engineering team to refine part splits and assembly details considering their 3D printing and post processing capabilities.
